CampusCup

CampusCup is a participatory reusable cup circulation service designed to reduce single-use plastic cup consumption on university campuses, recognized with a 2026 iF Design Award for its service design approach. Beyond providing a reusable cup rental and return system, CampusCup enables campus members to take part in co-designing the service from its introduction, while supporting continuous improvement through regular stakeholder consultation and data-driven monitoring. By shifting away from conventional top-down approaches, the service establishes a form of participatory governance in which campus communities can actively shape their own sustainability transition, transforming the university campus into both a testing ground for circular practices and a lasting infrastructure for positive environmental change.
