Nungil is a citizen journalism platform where Ulsan citizens create news articles about Ulsan news through collective intelligence reporting and AI. As a way for ULSAN MBC to build a relationship with them in the digital environment, I proposed a public forum where Ulsan citizens can create their own news articles about news found in their areas of interest
눈길은 울산의 정주인구 및 관계인구가 집단지성 제보와 AI를 통해 울산 소식을 소재로 뉴스기사를 작성하는 시민저널리즘 플랫폼입니다.
울산MBC가 디지털 미디어 환경에서 울산 시민들과의 관계를 수립할 방법으로, 울산 시민들이 자신의 관심 지역에서 발견되는 소식을 직접 뉴스기사로 만들고, 해당 소식에 대해 지역 주민들 간 소통할 수 있는 디지털 공론장 환경을 제안했습니다.

Concept Details
In Nungil, users can create a news article just by reporting. A user who found news writes an article with the help of AI as the initial reporter. Other user who saw or experienced the same news can update the article with the help of AI an additional reporter.

‘Nungil’에서 사용자는 단순히 보고만으로 뉴스 기사를 작성할 수 있습니다. 뉴스를 발견한 사용자는 초기 기자로서 AI의 도움을 받아 기사를 작성합니다. 동일한 뉴스를 목격하거나 경험한 다른 사용자는 추가 기자로서 AI의 도움을 받아 기사를 업데이트할 수 있습니다.
1. Initial reporting process
Users report Ulsan news through the floating button on home screen. It needs description and images.
2. Article creation
The home screen displays news articles in a list format. Users can check news that corresponds to his or her region of interest.

3. Contents of the created article
The AI in Nungil initially writes article based on the initial report. It reflects the contents of report.
4. The way of showing reliability validation results
Users’ additional reports update the content of article. And the progress of reliability validation is updated and displayed in real time.

Reliability Validation Process
Reliability of Nungil’s articles are validated through cross-validation and fact-checking. Immediately after an article is written, the AI cross-validates it up to 24 hours in real time. If any other presses have reported the same news, the AI fact-checks the article content. Finally, the results of the cross-validation and fact-checking are checked and approved by an ULSAN MBC reporter.
신뢰성 검증 과정
‘Nungil’의 기사 신뢰성은 교차 검증 및 팩트 체크를 통해 검증됩니다. 기사가 작성된 직후, AI는 최대 24시간 동안 실시간으로 교차 검증을 수행합니다. 다른 언론사에서 동일한 뉴스를 보도한 경우, AI는 기사 내용을 팩트 체크합니다. 마지막으로, 교차 검증 및 팩트 체크 결과는 울산 MBC 기자에 의해 확인되고 승인됩니다.
