📖 배경

Local broadcasting, which traditionally represented locality(지역성), needed to redefine its content’s direction as the locality has changed as the media technology develops.

지역방송의 방송권역은 행정법으로 정해진 ‘울산광역시’만 해당되어 이것이 곧 지역성이었으나, 미디어와 기술이 발전함에 따라 울산광역시 근처 기장군, 경주, 해운대의 소식 또한 쉽게 접할 수 있게 되었고, 그리고 슬세권처럼 OO동보다 더 좁은 동네를 나의 동네로 인식하게 되었습니다.

📊 사용자 조사

Through an online survey targeting the related population of Ulsan, I chose the target users in their 20s and 30s who most frequently share and reproduce news. Subsequent surveys were to understand how the target users typically hear the news and how they perceive towns in Ulsan.

울산 관련 인구를 대상으로 한 온라인 설문 조사를 통해 뉴스 공유와 재생산 빈도가 가장 높은 20대와 30대의 타겟 사용자를 선정했습니다. 이후 설문 조사는 타겟 사용자가 일반적으로 뉴스를 어떻게 접하고 울산의 마을들을 어떻게 인식하는지 이해하기 위한 것이었습니다.

Boksan-dong? Is that the name of the ‘dong’ in Ulsan?

Unlike Seoul or other metropolitan cities, there is no subway at Ulsan. Since subway stations work as landmarks more than bus stops. The absence of a subway led to a lack of awareness of admin-istrative divisions, ‘dong’.

I will live in Ulsan for just a few years and then leave.

Populations inflowed to Ulsan for academic or employment for several terms tend to have more interest in the town where their home is located. They showed particular interest in only a few towns, commonly called ‘hotspots.’

복산동? 울산에 있는 동 이름인가요?

서울이나 다른 대도시와 달리 울산에는 지하철이 없습니다. 지하철역이 버스 정류장보다 랜드마크 역할을 더 많이 하기 때문에, 지하철의 부재로 인해 행정 구역인 ‘동’에 대한 인식이 부족합니다.

저는 울산에 몇 년만 살다가 떠날 겁니다.

학업이나 취업을 위해 일정 기간 동안 울산으로 유입된 인구는 자신이 거주하는 동네에 더 많은 관심을 가지는 경향이 있습니다. 이들은 흔히 ‘핫스팟’이라 불리는 몇몇 동네에 특별한 관심을 보였습니다.
