INTERSECTION
)Welcome to the 2018 Unicast Design Graduation Exhibition, ‘INTERSECTION’. The days of walking in only one direction are over. Since the advent of the discourse ‘The intersection of technology and the humanities,’ new paths have emerged here and there. ‘INTERSECTION means surface finish at the intersection of design (ㅁ) and engineering (ㅇ)’.
UNIST DESIGN SHOW 2018 has 13 newly created intersections, walking along 13 different roads. It’s a new road that no one is walking to see. And today, we will travel again at each intersection. As always, in a new direction where no one walked.
2018년 유니스트 디자인 졸업전시, ‘INTERSECTION’에 오신 것을 환영합니다. 한 방향만 바라보고 걸어가는 시대는 저물어가고 있습니다. ‘기술과 인문학의 교차점’ 이라는 담론의 등장 이후, 이곳 저곳에서 새로운 길목이 생겨나고 있습니다. ‘INTERSECTION은 디자인(ㅇ)과 공학(ㅁ)이 만나는 교차지점으로 향함’을 뜻합니다.
UNIST DESIGN SHOW 2018에는 13명이 서로 다른 길을 걸어오며, 새로이 만들어낸 13개의 교차 지점이 있습니다. 누구도 걸어보지 않은 새로운 길입니다. 그리고 오늘, 각자의 교차점에서 다시 여행을 떠납니다.
늘 그래왔듯, 누구도 걸은 적 없던 새로운 방향으로.
